Weekly All-Star Team - Week 7

Cal's take on an All-Star team based on week 7 performances.

C - Travis dArnaud, QC - 8-17, 2 HR, 2 2B, 6 RBI, 5 R, 3 BB, 170 ODA+
d'Arnaud was in a league of his own this week as he slugged sixteen total bases without a single x-check.

1B - Rowdy Tellez, WWW - 9-18, 2 HR, 2 2B, 3 RBI, 5 R, 0-1 X-Ch, 154 ODA+
Very few teams roster their first baseman specifically for defense so the WonderWolves will happily take 9-for-18 despite the missed fielding chance.

2B - Jake Cronenworth, DEN - 8-17, 1 HR, 4 2B, 5 RBI, 5 R, 1 BB, 5-6 X-Ch, 208 ODA+
Jake has been on a tear for Denver and it continued into week 7. He out-slugged Yolmer who was his only competition this week.

*3B - Jeimer Candelario, BSG - 8-16, 1 HR, 5 2B, 7 RBI, 6 R, 1 BB, 3-3 x-Ch, 231 ODA+
Jeimer was a beast this week leading the league with a 231 ODA+ and 12 runs produced.

SS - Jose Iglesias, VA - 12-20, 2 HR, 1 3B, 3 2B, 6 RBI, 5 R, 1-2 X-Ch, 213 ODA+
Shortstop was the most contested position with Arcia, Bogaerts, Adames, Story, and Tatis all over 150 ODA+, but Iggy stood comfortably ahead of those guys with 23 total bases!

LF - Marcell Ozuna, QC - 6-18, 2 HR, 8 RBI, 3 R, 2 BB, 3-3 X-Ch, 171 ODA+
For some reason, left field continues to be the least competitive position, but Ozuna played solid D with some pop this week and earned the spot.

CF - Andrew Stevenson, LV - 7-11, 1 HR, 1 3B, 3 2B, 7 RBI, 5 R, 3 IBB, 1-3 X-Ch, 220 ODA+
Stevenson eschewed the D portion of ODA+ and mashed his way to the top center field spot edging out Belli due in large part to run production.

RF - Jesse Winker, QC - 6-11, 2 HR, 4 RBI, 8 R, 3 BB, 2 HBP, 195 ODA+
It was a quiet week for Winker defensively, but he was on base in 11 of 21 PA with a pair of dongs.

DH - Brent Rooker, LV - 4-15, 2 HR, 1 2B, 7 RBI, 3 R, 1 BB, 2 HBP, 1 IBB, 148 ODA+
In a rare slow week at DH, Brent Rooker takes the top spot with his .421 OBP.

P #1 - Aaron Nola, GLA - 8.0 IP, 0 R, 3 H, 14 SO, 272 DOM+
In his final start of the season for the Unicorns, Nola was dominant through 8 innings despite not earning the win.

P #2 - Shane Bieber, TK - 8.0 IP, 0 R, 3 H, 11 SO, 230 DOM+
Bieber was outdueled in the matchups by Nola, but it was still a fantastic start and Bieber did earn the win.

P #3 - Ian Anderson, LV - 8.0 IP, 2 R, 0 ER, 2 H, 9 SO, 224 DOM+
Anderson had the lowest strikeout total of the top three and his defense let him down by allowing 2 unearned runs.

P #4 - Mike Mayers, DEN - 6.0 IP, 0 R, 3 H, 12 SO, 2 G, 220 DOM+
Mayers pitched in two games for Denver prior to the blockbuster trade and was extremely effective striking out 12 of 22 batters faced.

P #5 - Trevor Bauer, QC - 8.0 IP, 1 R, 3 H, 10 SO, 196 DOM+
It's a tough week when 8 innings of 1-run ball drops you to fifth place, but that's where we find ourselves with Bauer's 196 DOM+.
