Weekly All-Star Team - Week 4

Cal's take on an All-Star team based on week 4 performances.

C - Yasmani Grandal, PBW - 6-16, 3 HR, 2 2B, 7 RBI, 4 R
Grandal beat out Austin Barnes by one thousandth of a point for top catcher this week. His five extra base hits and 8 runs produced would walk away with the award most weeks.

1B - DJ LeMahieu, MKE - 5-10, 1 HR, 1 3B, 2 RBI, 3 R
In a short week for LeMahieu, he hit the cover off the ball with an OPS over 1.500.

2B - Jake Cronenworth, DEN - 7-16, 1 HR, 2 2B, 4 RBI, 2 R
Second base was another very close race with Cronenworth earning the nod over David Fletcher.

3B - KeBryan Hayes, SPP - 7-11, 1 HR, 1 3B, 1 2B, 5 IBB, 3 RBI, 6 R
The Bandits were petrified to face Hayes this week and even with 5 IBBs, we can see why. He slugged 1.182 with an OPS just shy of 2.000!

SS - Trea Turner, WV - 6-16, 3 HR, 1 3B, 1 2B, 9 RBI, 7 R
Turner has locked down the shortstop spot in three of four weeks this season and this time he had his best week yet. He produced 13 runs for West Virginia as they stomped the WonderWolves.

LF - Brent Rooker, LV - 5-10, 1 HR, 1 2B, 1 RBI, 3 R
Rooker's insane .643 OBP this week carried him to the top spot despite Randy Arozarena's 5-dong week.

CF - Kyle Lewis, FF - 7-20, 1 HR, 2 2B, 4 RBI, 5 R
Lewis secures the center field spot for a second straight week. The power dropped a bit, but he still had a solid .423 wOBA.

RF - Cameron Maybin, FF - 6-13, 6 2B, 3 RBI, 5 R
Yo, dawg, I heard you like doubles. Maybin does. That's all he hit this week to earn his first weekly All-Star spot.

DH - Yan Gomes, WV - 7-16, 2 HR, 2 3B, 5 RBI, 5 R
The WonderWolves threw four left-handed starters at West Virginia this week and Gomes was in hog heaven. He collected 16 total bases to go with his 1.063 slugging.

P #1 - Jacob deGrom, PBW - 8.0 IP, 0 R, 2 H, 15 SO
deGrom had a video game week against the Unicorns racking up his second consecutive 15-strikeout week. He also racked up the highest one-week DOM+ value of the season at 1024.

P #2 - Corbin Burnes, MKE - 7.0 IP, 0 R, 1 H, 12 SO
Burnes had a great start against Dallas this week with seven shutout innings. For perspective, his DOM+ value for week was was a "paltry" 425.

P #3 - Dinelson Lamet, WV - 5.0 IP, 0 R, 2 H, 9 SO
Lamet feasted on the WonderWolves lineup in a short start giving up only two baserunners.

P #4 - John Means, SBB - 7.0 IP, 0 R, 0 H, 8 SO
Means tossed seven no-hit innings against Los Muertos. He allowed three baserunners and struck out eight en route to a win.

P #5 - Tyler Glasnow, VA - 6.0 IP, 0 R, 2 H, 8 SO
Glasnow rounds out the top five this week with a six-inning victory. This marks the first week this season the top five pitchers were all traditional starters.
