10. Garver Cuts the Deficit

The first play this week comes from game two between Tokyo and Columbus. The Macho Men led 6-2 when Tokyo's Mitch Garver makes the most exciting play in baseball: the catcher triple! He legs out the three-bagger scoring Rob Refsnyder from first to cut the deficit to 3.
Macho Men would go on to win 8-4
9. Ramon Eats Up McCarthy

Now on to game one between Big Sky and the Vatican. The bases are loaded with two outs for Angels' number nine hitter, Ramon Laureano and he crushes a liner into right! Jake McCarthy is running it down, he dives and doesn't make the catch! McCarthy gets to his feet quickly and tracks the ball down, but that's a bases clearing double for the Vatican!
Angels would go on to win 4-1
8. Rodgers Ties the Game in the Eighth

We stay in Big Sky for number eight this week. It's Brendan Rodgers at the plate in the bottom of the seventh of game three. Snow Geese trail 1 to nothing until Rodgers blasts a Trevor Gott fastball into the alley in right! CJ Abrams scores easily on the standup double!
Big Sky would go on to win 2-1
7. Hoerner Walks Off Chicago

Play number seven brings us to game two in Denver where there are two outs in the bottom of the ninth with the game tied at 4. Caleb Thielbar is in for Chicago looking to strand a runner at second, but Nico Hoerner jumps on the 1-0 heater and crushes it into right-center field! That ball is down and Denver walks off the Cyclones!
Zephyr win 5-4
6. Salvy's Go-Ahead Bomb

The Wu Xia trailed the Mussels coming into the seventh of game game 1 until Salvador Perez crushes his second home run of the season! Two runs score on that dinger and they prove to be the winning runs.
Wu Xia would go on to win 2-1
5. Meneses Opens the Scoring

The round one draft pick was in the doghouse in game one this week: Joey Meneses was batting ninth for Waikiki. He came to the plate in the top of the fifth with runners on second and third and earns some favor with a big, two-run double!
Whale Sharks would go on to win 6-0
4. Semien Saves the Game

Emmanuel Clase had a two-run lead to protect in game one against the Gators, but it was not enough. With no outs and a runner already on first, Marcus Semien elevates a cutter! It's hit deep to left field and is outta here! Semien ties the game at 2 in the bottom of the ninth.
Gators would go on to win 3-2
3. Xander's Little Leaguer

Play number three of week three comes from a rare misplay by the Milwaukee defense. Xander Bogaerts blasts a double into right field that is misplayed by Brian Anderson! Bogaerts doesn't miss a beat: he rounds third and slides head-first into home for the go-ahead, little league home run!
Phantoms would go on to win 13-3
2. Wild Game One in Denver

In the second extra-inning game between Chicago and Denver, we have a double dose here for number two. We jump in in the top of the tenth inning, tied at 6. Jazz Chisholm is up facing Tanner Banks with runners on the corners and he demolishes the 2-1 slider! Chisholm watches that one fly before starting his trot - that puts the Cyclones up 9-6 in the tenth.
Fast forward to the bottom of the tenth, the Zephyr have already scored two runs and David Bednar needs one more out to secure the Cyclone win. But with runners on second and third, he leaves a pitch up that Will "The D Stands for Doink" Smith doinks just into the outfield grass! Harper scores from third and Bryan Reynolds slides in safely at home to walk it off for Denver!
Zephyr win 10-9
1. The Big Fella Walks Off Game 2

Our top play of the week comes from West Virginia where we find CJ Cron - hitless on the season - batting with two on and two away in the bottom of the ninth; the tying run is on second, go-ahead run on first. That's when the Big Fella collects a very timely first hit of the season - it's a bullet into left-center field! Garcia scores easily from second and Acuña gets waved home! The throw from center hits the cutoff man perfectly, the relay throw home is on-target, but not in time!
Black Bears win 4-3
