Season 8 / Week 2 Top 10 plays of the week
10. Cooper Opens the Scoring

Leading off this week's top 10 is Garret Cooper in game 2. It's the top of the third, no score, with runners on second and third. Joe Musgrove is looking for a double play to get out of the inning, but Cooper smacks the 1-1 pitch into center field! Garrett scores from third and Turner scores from second to put the Shoebills up 2-0.
Shoebills go on to win 6-1.
9. Gunnar Breaks the Tie

We jump to game 3 between Chicago and Columbus and they are tied at 0 in the ninth. Phil Bickford is in with two outs and runners on first and second to face Chicago's Gunnar Henderson who yanks a breaking ball down the right field line that plates Vladdy from second on the RBI-single for the only run of the game!
Cyclones go on to win 1-0.
8. Pujols Walks it Off

Number eight this week comes from game 2 in Denver. The Phantoms and Zephyr went to the ninth inning tied at one. Ryan Tepera was on the mound with one on and one away when Prince Albert put the team on his back with an absolute piss missile to walk the game off 3-1!
Zephyr win 3-1.
7. Devers Dong Takes the Lead

This won't be the last time we see Tokyo and Milwaukee in this list. We've got game 4 here in the bottom of the sixth. Bovines trail this one 2-1 before Devers comes to the plate; that was before he blasts one high and deep to right field! Mike Yastrzemski chases it to the track, to the wall, but it is gone giving the Kaiju a 3-1 lead.
Kaiju would go on to win 5-2.
6. T-Steph Gets Early Lead

It's game two now between Columbus and Chicago. Tyler Stephenson comes to bat in the top of the third with two on and two away, his club trailing by a pair. Julio Urias kicks and delivers a fastball crushed to left-center field! Neither outfielder has a play on that one - it's a go-ahead, three-run dong putting Columbus up 3-2! More on this game later...
5. Marte Caps Off Comeback

We jump over to West Virginia for game three between the Mussels and Black Bears and Devin Williams finds himself in an eighth-inning jam. The bases are loaded with one out. Starling Marte crushes a liner into the gap in left-center field that Will Brennan cannot make a play on! That ball is down and it's a two-run double!
Mussels go on to win 11-10.
4. Garcia Go-Ahead

We pick back up in game two in Chicago. It's the top of the ninth tied at 3. Andres Munoz is on looking to strand a runner on second, but Adolis Garcia shoots a single back up the middle giving Columbus a 4-3 lead!
Macho Men go on to win 6-4.
3. Stubbs Walks off the Honeybees

The Gators already have thirty two walk-off wins and Garrett Stubbs adds to that total in game 1 between Nashville and Hamburg. Alexis Diaz gets two quick outs in the bottom of the tenth when the scorching hot Garrett Stubbs crushes one down the line in left! The crowd erupts and it hooks around the fair pole and Nashville walks this one off!
Gators win 11-10.
2. Yandy Ties It In The Ninth

Number two this week has Yandy Diaz facing Paul Sewald, who just needs one more out to lock down the win for the Angels. It's the bottom of the ninth and Shangai rallied to put runners on first and second. With two strikes on him, Yandy slaps a blooper into shallow center field! Dee Strange-Gordon slides into home to tie the game at 4!
Wu Xia go on to win 6-4.
1. Kaiju & Bovines Go to Extras

The top play of week 2 is a collection of three plays in Tokyo. First we have the Bovines' Dylan Carlson tying the game in the bottom of the ninth with a two-out solo shot! Fast forward two innings and it's Kyle Schwarber with a no-doubt blast into the Tokyo sky putting Milwaukee up 6-4. Then in the bottom of the eleventh, Eugenio Suarez extends everyone's misery with a two-run dicking of his own to tie the game at 6!
Kaiju would eventually go on to win 9-8 in 12 innings.
