Monthly All-Star Team - Month 2

Cal's take on an All-Star team based on month 2 performances.

C - Max Stassi, GLA - 13-57, 6 HR, 1 2B, 13 RBI, 7 R, 16-17 X-Ch, 25% CS, 139 ODA+
Stassi is infamously leading the league (not just catchers) with 52 fielding chances and a .986 wF%. Not as well known is his bat has been great with a .380 wOBA

1B - Paul Goldschmidt, TK - 16-65, 1 HR, 5 2B, 6 RBI, 14 R, 3-3 X-Ch, 147 ODA+
Goldy is an on-base guy for the Kaiju despite playing a power position, but he was still the most productive first baseman this month with his .372 OBP.

2B - Jake Cronenworth, DEN - 21-65, 3 HR, 6 2B, 11 RBI, 12 R, 20-26 X-Ch, 191 ODA+
Despite the constant complaints from his manager, Cronenworth was incredible this month batting .323. Though he could improve by getting his glove dirtier.

3B - Bobby Dalbec, TK - 15-63, 5 HR, 3 2B, 17 RBI, 15 R, 2-10 X-Ch, 157 ODA+
We don't talk about Bobby's glove, but the bat is worth a second look. He produced 27 runs for the Kaiju this month propelling him to the top spot.

SS - Trevor Story, TK - 22-55, 1 HR, 1 3B, 5 2B, 13 RBI, 7 R, 18-22 X-Ch, 193 ODA+
Story had an unlikely month leading all shortstops with a .400 / .469 / .582 slash line and a solid glove.

LF - Brandon Nimmo, VA - 14-50, 4 HR, 1 2B, 13 RBI, 12 R, 1-1 X-Ch, 132 ODA+
The first monthly representative from the Vatican Angels, Brandon Nimmo had a very good month at the plate with a .394 wOBA.

CF - Byron Buxton, MKE - 20-69, 11 HR, 1 2B, 18 RBI, 14 R, 12-13 X-Ch, 166 ODA+
Cows hit dongs. And Buxton led the charge with eleven dongs this month to go with a strong defensive month.

RF - Jesse Winker, QC - 19-58, 7 HR, 2 2B, 18 RBI, 16 R, 0-2 X-Ch, 174 ODA+
He was 0-for-2 on fielding checks, but Winker is paid for his bat and he delivered in a big way this month with a .499 wOBA.

DH - Sam Huff, MKE - 28-66, 7 HR, 8 2B, 27 RBI, 9 R, 189 ODA+
Sam exploded this month batting .424 with an obscene .864 slugging and .560 wOBA just edging out Urias at the DH spot.

P #1 - Devin Williams, DEN - 20.2 IP, 5 R, 11 H, 37 SO, 257 DOM+
Williams did blow a save this month, but it hardly affected his overall production with a very strong 257 DOM+.

P #2 - Shane Bieber, TK - 22.0 IP, 3 R, 18 H, 37 SO, 249 DOM+
The Kaiju won all three games Bieber started this month and he was lights-out in the final two going eight shutout innings in each.

P #3 - Gerrit Cole, WWW - 26.2 IP, 3 R, 16 H, 30 SO, 238 DOM+
One of the few SP1s to get four starts this week, Cole pitched 7+ innings in all but an injury-shortened start this month.

P #4 - Jacob deGrom, PBW - 22.0 IP, 6 ER (9 R), 10 H, 37 K, 230 DOM+
A down month for deGrom still places him in the top five. He allowed all nine of those runs in hist last two starts, but kept his double-digit K streak alive.

P #5 - Mike Mayers, DEN - 21.0 IP, 5 R, 14 H, 31 SO, 215 DOM+
Mayers was traded to Las Vegas in the blockbuster three-team deal, but made eight appearances for Denver this month.
