foxxWAR Week 5 Update

Welcome back to another riveting excursion into the world of make believe statistical analysis. This week I'm super upset that I had to make graphics for the two weekly winners, because there is zero chance either of them win again. But congrats, I guess?

And here's a look at the rest of the top 5 for the week. So many better options that could have won the week, especially on the pitching side.

As for the season to date totals, Taylor Ward takes over the top spot for position players, holding off Juan Soto and Freddie Freeman. Not really surprising. Everyone knows Taylor Ward is better than those two replacement players. Triston McKenzie is holding onto the top pitcher spot over Ohtani, who might finally be breaking his SBa curse. Ohtani is the far and away leader in overall WAR.

And the rest of the worst. We're starting to see some of these poor performers getting dopped from rosters. Corey Seager is a likely candidate to finish the season as the league's worst defender, due to the frequency in which he'll be asked to make plays. Yordan surprises me. I didn't realize he owned a glove. Actually... maybe he doesn't and that would explain the WAR.
