foxxWAR Players of the Week
Best Hitter: Mike Trout, .53
Trout had a big week with 6 hits - including 4 home runs and a double - and 3 walks. That led to 9 runs scored. Defensively it was quiet in CF for the Jaguars other than a robbed HR. Trout’s big week leap-frogged him over Ronald Acuna Jr for the #1 spot in the league at 2.46 foxxWAR for the season.

Tommy La Stella, .51
Freddie Freeman, .39
Brian Anderson, .34
Jared Walsh, .32
Best Pitcher: Trevor Bauer, .39
A dominant 8 IP performance by Bauer this week. Only 4 hits and a walk to go along with 11 strikeouts and no runs. It really doesn’t get a whole lot better than that. In fact, his game score of 84 was 8th best for the season, and Bauer’s personal best this year.

Tony Gonsolin, .36
John Means, .34
Lance Lynn, .34
Blake Snell, .32
Worst Hitter: Edwin Rios, -.25
Trying his best to balance out Trout’s greatness, Edwin Rios was 2-16 with a double, but also a GIDP. Not exactly blowing the doors off anyone with his bat. But his biggest problem was defense, where he committed 2 errors and gave up 3 hits in the field.

Bo Bichette, -.23
Alex Bregman, -.21
Victor Reyes, -.20
Jackie Bradley Jr. -.20
Worst Pitcher: Cal Quantrill, -.59
A 3 IP, 7 run performance is definitely not great. Add in 10 hits, a walk, and a hit by pitch and runners were living on the bases against Quantrill this week.

Spencer Turnbull, -.39
